Frasers Group are currently looking for a Financial/Management Accountant to join our Sofa.com team. Sofa.com is an upholstered furniture retailer with 7 showrooms across the UK, 16 House of Fraser concession stores and a strong digital presence. We’re an expanding business with continued growth plans. Our Head Office is situated in the heart of London’s interior design capital above our Chelsea Showroom. We’re currently looking for a Financial/Management Accountant to come and join our small and busy finance team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Posting month-end journals and submitting monthly pension reports and benefit schemes
• Preparing monthly consolidated management accounts
• Preparing business and data analysis
• Submitting concession commission data on a weekly basis
• Weekly preparation of 13 week rolling cash flow forecast and managing the cash position
• Preparing monthly payroll submission to Group payroll department and serving as the payroll point of contact
• Working closely with a Finance Assistant and Accounts Payable
• Reviewing and approving payment runs on a weekly basis
• Balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis highlighting any issues
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and reforecasts
• Assisting with the year end audit work
• Processing all customer and VAT refunds and ensuring all systems are updated
• Reconciling and processing all Interest Free Credit (IFC) sales
• Working closely with the Financial Controller on ad hoc work and requests

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3 years’ experience in a multidisciplinary finance function- involved in management accounts and transactional work such as payroll and book-keeping
• Studying toward recognised qualification (ACCA or CIMA)
• Able to communicate and build relationships both internally and externally at all levels
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience using Navision desirable
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Driven and hardworking, willing to throw themselves in to any task
• Able to think outside of the box and has a proactive attitude to work
