About Your Role
Responsible for product costing development and profitability analysis for the AD Smartrac Division. This role is expected to take the lead in analyzing, understanding and communicating the costing and pricing with key stakeholders. This is a key role supporting Commercial, Operations, Engineering and product management.
Your Responsibilities
This position reports to the Global Costing Director of RFID and includes these key duties:
Focus on RFID item cost development. Understand the major cost driver in order to drive cost optimization for quotation
Communicate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts on key assumptions and developments for product costing
Conduct an intake of RFID specification requirements with Sales, Market development management/Product management for pricing recommendation
Support the overall profitability of the business through development of process and metrics, large global bids and new product launch
Support the implementation of new ERP system related to costing
Update Oracle and System pricing as required.
Ad-hoc analysis as needed and providing other analytical support to the Controller and Finance Director
Drive Process improvements through identifying and leveraging best practices across the organization.
Domestic travel required for the initial training and then little to none afterwards.
Ability to work well in team environment and independently
Strong analytical and organizational skills, high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent skills in Google spreadsheet/slide and MS Office Excel/powerpoint with proven proficiency in Excel specifically on the job experience with Macros, Pivot Tables and V-Lookup functions.
Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX and financial statement preparation
Prior Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment REQUIRED
Must be engaging, self directed, self-motivated, and confidant presenting to all levels of the organization
Possess good problem solving skills, able to work offense and defense as needed on the fly.
Strong communication skills – oral, written, and presentation
Be able to demonstrate creativity / innovation / flexibility
Bachelor's degree in Accounting Required, MBA preferred, with minimum 3 years work experience in manufacturing environment Required, 5 years preferred.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with competing/changing priorities
Experience with Oracle and Hyperion- HFM a plus
