Job Description Summary

The Financial Analyst will report to the Vice President of Finance and will have responsibility for project and corporate-level financial modeling.  The analyst will work closely with Treasury and project finance transaction leads to help complete financial closings and capital raises.  The analyst will work closely with the Business Development team in order to quickly price opportunities and provide feedback to our development partners.  The Financial Analyst will work with the VP of Finance to develop and build complex financial models incorporating debt, tax equity, and permanent equity financing in order to evaluate project economics and financing alternatives.  

Key Responsibilities

• Project Financial Modeling:  The Financial Analyst will have overall responsibility for project financial modeling, working closely with the VP of Finance and the BD team.
• Financial Structuring:  Work with the VP-Project Finance and other team members to develop debt, tax equity and project equity structures that allow the company to most efficiently finance projects.
• Project Finance Execution:  Support the VP of Finance and other team members in the origination, negotiation and closing of project finance transactions, including term sheet development and negotiation and managing diligence processes.
• Business Development:  Support the BD team in evaluating financeable deals and in developing competitive bid pricing based on optimization of capital sources

Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrated financial acumen and experience developing and building complex financial models using Microsoft Excel.

• Undergraduate degree required.  Preferred focus in Finance.
• Demonstrated teamwork skills; ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve objectives.
• Ability to set and meet realistic deadlines.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of working days.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
