Financial Analyst IV – Fidelity Capital Markets – FI

The Financial Analyst IV (FA4) role is a member of the Brokerage Interest Center of Excellence, a division of Fidelity Capital Markets (FCM) Finance that provides decision support, financial and capital planning and analysis, accounting, and reporting related to interest and securities finance products across all Fidelity brokerage businesses. The primary objective of the role will be to provide support to the Brokerage Interest Center of Excellence through a broad range of analytics, financial management, and strategic business partner support to drive improved outcomes and financial results.

The Brokerage Interest COE works across a wide range of groups including FCM, Clearing & Custody, Personal Investments, Treasury, line and central Finance, Regulatory, Accounting, and Senior Management. As a member of this five-person team, you will have opportunities to get involved in projects and initiatives supporting these areas of the enterprise.  Supporting the Interest COE, you will lead budgeting and financial planning efforts, perform product and competitive reporting and analysis, help coordinate pricing strategy for brokerage interest products across the enterprise, and assist with the development of recommendations and insights to directly influence management decisions.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree a plus

5+ years of professional experience in Finance with a successful track record in financial modeling and analysis; 3+ years of experience with advanced degree

Financial services experience; experience with brokerage business and securities finance a plus

Proficiency in financial modeling, presentation, and data visualization tools (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Business Objects); familiarity with Fidelity systems such as FBSI and FCMONE beneficial

Understanding of financial and accounting principles and how to apply them in business

Strong attention to detail and ownership for managing large quantities of detailed information with high levels of accuracy

Ability to take initiative and seek creative solutions that challenge conventional approaches

Ability to respond to shifting priorities while maintaining progress of regularly scheduled work

Developing and presenting analyses and strategic recommendations to management and business partners

Preparing and analyzing reports for various business partners (e.g., capital usage, balance sheet, competitive/market share, P&L, return on capital)

Leading budgeting and multi-year planning for brokerage interest products

Supporting the monthly close process for interest revenue, as well as efforts to modernize and automate existing processes

Enhancing and/or creating automated reporting views, including use of dashboards and other data visualization tools
