Job Description:
The Financial Analyst III (FA3) role is a member of Fidelity Capital Markets (FCM) Finance that provides decision support, financial planning and analysis, accounting, and reporting related to Fixed Income, Equity, Syndicate, and FX products across all Fidelity brokerage businesses. The primary objective of the role will be to provide support to FCM’s Foreign Exchange and Equity Origination businesses through a broad range of analytics, financial management, and strategic business partner support to drive improved outcomes and financial results.
The Expertise You Have
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics combined with a minimum of 2+ years’ work experience
Experience in financial services industry is highly desired
Strategic thinker who can take an end-to-end view of an issue and develop multiple solutions
Proficiency in financial modeling, presentation, and data visualization tools (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI)

This is an opportunity for a hard-working and collaborative individual to work as part of the FCM Finance Team to support the various business lines of which Capital Markets is comprised. The Financial Analyst III, along with a small team of fellow senior analysts, will provide high-quality analysis and thoughtful input to various business functions and leaders. This is a unique opportunity for an individual to develop subject matter knowledge across multiple product areas of Capital Markets, and to understand how Capital Markets plays a vital role in supporting other business lines at Fidelity. Responsibilities include:
Providing Finance support for the FOREX and Equity Origination teams, working closely with senior-level business partners to understand revenue drivers and market trends and their impact on the P&L.
Performing a number of different Finance responsibilities including FP&A, decision support, pricing, modeling, and business development and strategy.
Supporting FCM’s product and client profitability model (i.e. FCAP) and assist in finance modernization (NGAV) by ensuring the business groups you support are properly reflected in the model.
Preparing and distributing daily reporting highlighting revenue performance by business line
The successful candidate will be capable of developing a deep understanding of the Capital Markets businesses and products supported. As such, the analyst must be capable of understanding the details as well as be able to provide contextual commentary around the results to help “tell the storyâ€.
