The Financial Analyst III (FA3) role is a member of the Brokerage Interest Center of Excellence, a division of Fidelity Capital Markets (FCM) Finance which provides decision support, financial and capital planning and analysis, accounting, and reporting related to interest and securities finance products across all Fidelity brokerage businesses. We work across a wide range of groups including FCM, Clearing & Custody, Personal Investments, Treasury, line and central Finance, Regulatory, Accounting, and Senior Management.

As member of this five-person team, the Financial Analyst III will primarily assist with data gathering and reconciliations, the monthly close for interest revenue, recurring standard reporting, and coordinating budgeting and business planning for the enterprise’s interest revenue products, with the expectation that he or she will grow to participate in the entire range of deliverables for the Interest COE. As the analyst develops, there will also be opportunities to get involved in projects and initiatives supporting the other areas of the enterprise listed above.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree a plus

2+ years of professional experience in Finance with a successful track record in financial modeling and analysis

Financial services experience; experience with brokerage business and securities finance a plus

Proficiency in financial modeling, presentation, data visualization, and other tools (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Essbase, data warehouses, Tableau, DOMO, Power BI)

Strong attention to detail and ownership for managing large quantities of detailed information with high levels of accuracy

Proven ability to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Ability to take initiative and seek creative solutions that challenge conventional approaches

Developing and presenting analyses and recommendations to management and business partners

Assisting in production of presentations to senior management

Participating in budgeting and multi-year planning processes

Supporting the monthly close process for interest and securities finance revenue

Responding to internal and external audit requests

Maintaining and refreshing standard analyses (rate and pricing sensitivity analysis, for example)

Participating in various projects such as business case development, systems implementation testing and integration, and new client integration into financial systems and reports
