Merchant Services is the global payment processing business for JPMorgan Chase & Co. Merchant Services is a leading provider of payment, fraud and data security for companies large and small and capable of authorizing transactions in more than 130 currencies.

The Financial Planning Associate will work closely with the product, finance, and field leadership team to support P&L management / development, resource planning, budgeting and third party expense planning for the product organization. An ideal candidate must be a self-starter with a proven background in corporate budgeting and resource planning, business case development / management and cross-functional collaboration. Additionally, an ability to problem solve in a consultative nature with is imperative.

Key Priorities:

  • Support budget planning and reporting for the Merchant Services product team including P&L management / development, variance analysis, financial modeling, and messaging / reporting across multiple stakeholders
  • Support product resource planning both internationally and domestically including translation of business expectations into resource requirements, evaluating organizational structure and cost center alignment, measuring product team effectiveness, and ensuring adherence to plan
  • Manage 3rd party and partner costs including documentation of purpose, drivers, and supporting contracts. Guide the product team through new partnership or contractor requests
  • Develop and maintain robust reporting of resource trends, 3rd party and partner spending, and T&E reporting using data visualization tools.
  • Foster an environment where risk/control issues are escalated, and trends are anticipated and identified
  • Other reporting activities as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in finance or accounting) required
  • Typically requires 4-6 years of experience (1-2 years post-MBA), with at least 2 years in payments, technology, e-commerce or financial services
  • Must haves include: Strong budget management / resource planning experience, financial analytics and business case development skills, and a talent for communication of complex business topics
  • Ideal candidate to have exposure to product development processes and understanding of product development lifecycle
  • Proficiency in visualization tools (Tableau) is preferred
