Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and review of journal entries and general ledger accounts and revenue reconciliations
- Track all payments received to reconcile revenue and book monthly/quarterly entries
- Responsible for Monthly/Quarterly SOX compliance
- Work with ABC Affiliate Relations team to provide support in all accounting aspects of the deals with approximately 200 non-owned affiliate stations. Generate invoices for the license fees and book the ABC share of retransmission revenues due from non-owned affiliates.
- Derive revenue adjustments for ASC606 impact, prepare quarterly journal entries, accounts receivable and deferred income flux analysis for balance sheet, and reconcile related P&L and Balance Sheet accounts
- Work with Credit and Collections team and customers to resolve any client disputes relating to amounts in the SAP customer accounts and keep accounts clean by clearing open items
- Handle PWC, statutory, management, tax, and SOX and requests
- Prepare quarterly revenue analysis for QTD and YTD prior year comparison for 200+ non owned ABC affiliates
- Provide support and guidance to other staff members on daily tasks
- Assist management with ad hoc requests/special projects such as participate in system upgrades and enhancement testing to improve efficiencies and provide value-added services to stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role preferred
- Proficient in Excel and Business Objects
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
