Provide the plant with improved reports and analysis to achieve budget goals and support continuous improvement activities relating to Finance. What you will do
- Assist in month-end close activities: preparing and booking journal entries; working with budget owners to develop accruals; preparing expense and balance sheet account reconciliations; and preparing detailed spending reports (maintenance, travel, training, etc.).
- Become an SAP Power User, which will entail: learning all finance functions in SAP related to production reporting, costing, and inventories; understand business processes within the operating system; serve as an SAP focus resource/contact; drive system improvements to improve productivity; provide training to others as vital to perform job functions, including budget owners and the other finance personnel.
- Preparation of raw material and packaging yield schedules, inventory accuracy schedules, production throughput and downtime tracking, asset utilization reports and other key performance indicators.
- Work with Corporate Cost Accounting Manager and Plant operations to support the standard product costing process, Both annually and as needed for new products.
- Drive improvement activities in A/P to reduce transactional costs and increase valuable reporting capabilities to the plant, specifically for raw and packaging material purchasing.
- Participate in monthly cycle counts, full physical inventories and assist in researching inventory variances.
- Sarbanes-Oxley audit testing, as it pertains to all internal control SOP’s.

- Participate in the preparation of the plant’s annual operating budget as well as LE forecasts in April and July.

Required Qualifications
- At least High school diploma.
- Very strong proven understanding of Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- +5 years in the manufacturing industry, in an accounting or finance related field.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related area of study
