Job Description

As a Finance Team Manager, you will be responsible in leading and developing the delivery of operational finance activity for Capita clients in line with our business requirements. This includes technical/financial administration support to Operational teams, contribution to the delivery of projects and client or internal driven change from a finance perspective.

Additionally, as a Team Manager you will oversee and provide support in the development of your team members to ensure department objectives are achieved.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a £37,500 pa basic salary on a permanent full-time contract, with working hours covering 37.5 per week to cover operational opening hours

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

  • managing financial operational services in line with client requirements and contractual service levels
  • motivating and Managing the team, including performance, development and coaching, focused on business and personal objectives
  • managing and planning for all internal and external financial and system auditing requirements, maintaining appropriate records as required
  • planning and prioritizing team workload to achieve SLA and KPI targets
  • accountable for the design and implementation of solutions, considering business strategy and planning initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified by experience. Strong operational finance experience, including in depth knowledge of Operational Finance processes, e.g. Reconciliations and Control, Financial Reporting & Payment / Collections
  • Team management experience
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office applications
  • In-depth knowledge of finance processes, regulation, and legislation

    Desirable

  • Degree in a numerical subject/qualification recognized by an accounting professional body
  • Change management
