Responsibilities:
Closely monitor all financial activities, and keep the Finance Manager and other management staff advised of all situations which may impact internal controls or financial performance. Assisting in the overall financial operations and accounting procedures; ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping and reporting. Payment request reviews, requests for additional information, and ensure that payments with the Finance team continue to move through the proscribed process. Prepare monthly financial reports for the Finance Manager, including expenditures by cost center/project and other financial information, in a timely and accurate manner. Review budgets with actual reports to ensure adherence to restrictions on line item flexibility and stated restrictions on accepted costs. Provide overall grant management support, and ensure compliance with the accounting and auditing requirements. Maintain an adequate filing system of financial documents in collaboration with the finance assistant. Support the Finance Manager to ensure monthly cash forecast/requirements are compiled for all departments. Support program teams for financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems in line.
Education:
University degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Requirements:
Two years of professional progressive experience in accountancy, It is preferable to have work experience within NGOs. Experience in analyzing and interpreting financial data. Excellent communication skills both verbally and written, in Arabic, English is a plus. . Excellent proven computer skills. Excellent knowledge of Excel or other software. Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. Demonstrated flexibility to changing situations and priorities. Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and values (Respect, Diversity & Integrity).
Skills: Ability to prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision. Good organizational, multitasking, and time management skills. Interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a variety of people. Proven administrative and technical skills, and ability to keep accurate records.
