Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The key responsibilities of this role are to support strategic initiatives and programs, deliver meaningful value streams, champion cash flow generation, and be the key person to liaise with finance leadership. Key deliverables are accomplished through:
- Evaluate and provide recommendations to the operational objectives and savings targets to drive vision and long-term strategy. Support execution of key strategic programs, corporate initiative action plans and related results.  Ensure key initiatives, programs and related business cases are presented with complete and reliable financials.
- Ensure short and long-term Procurement value stream is presented in a meaningful way. Develop, implement and oversee processes to deliver clear and consistent forecasting and reporting. Ensure consistent application of value measurement concepts and related financial impact to revenue divisions and corporate functions.
- In conjunction with the Cash Flow Initiative, provide financial leadership for initiatives and programs from a Global Procurement perspective to further enhance Abbott’s cash flow.
- Develop and maintain relationships and transparent communication with division and Corporate Finance to ensure alignment on current and forward-looking initiatives and programs to drive and deliver meaningful value stream.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BRING:
- Bachelor\'s degree with concentration in accounting or finance
- 6-10 years of finance and/or accounting experience
- Proficient with financial modeling tools including Excel, PowerPoint and other FP&A applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels and functions; capable of presenting complex financial information in easy-to-understand formats and terms
- Ability to work on multiple priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience successfully supporting manufacturing/supply chain/ operations business units is highly desirable.
- Driver of change, exceptional business partnering and strategic thinking skills
- Strong analytical and problem–solving skills; ability to work across functions and organizations in a global environment
- Operate independently and adaptable to changing requirements
