Job summary
Amazon Europe seeks an experienced commercial Finance Manager to join our fast growing Amazon Fresh Online Grocery team in the UK. Based in the London office, the UK Finance Manager will work closely with finance stakeholders and business partners to deliver ambitious growth plans, driving our profitability roadmap and helping to shape business strategy over the long-term. The key responsibilities of the UK Finance Manager include:
• Leading the evaluation of key projects and investments, providing both commercial and financial assessment of plans.
• Providing analytical support such as the evaluation of business proposals, including international expansion, and driving ad-hoc cross-functional projects.
• Own top-line growth plans, identifying risk/opportunities and recommendations on how to manage.
• Ongoing performance management and analysis of key business metrics and trends.
• Determine the key interventions the business unit needs to be successful, aligning management and driving delivery.
• The successful candidate will also be expected to act as an Amazon Fresh Online subject matter expert, supporting ongoing infrastructure development and driving best practices across the broader organization, including the US.
• Coaching and development of the UK finance analyst dedicated to Amazon Fresh Online.
· Strong academic background with a minimum of 7+ years' experience.
· Significant finance experience.
· Robust analytical & modelling skills required.
· A fluency in standard software including Excel, PowerPivot etc.
· Possess strong communication and influencing skills.
· Has a superior attention to detail.
· Must be comfortable working in cross-functional teams.
· Demonstrates strong leadership and a track record of developing people.
· Knowledge of SQL and a self-serve environment.
· Can successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and work to tight deadlines.
· Strong business judgment and good instincts.
· Ability to simplify and improve inefficient or complex processes.
· Able to operate at all levels, by staying connected to the details as well as being able to step back and see the bigger picture.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Finance experience from Grocery, Retail or FMCG companies within an international environment.
· People management or coaching experience.
