Manager – Internal Reporting is responsible for the accurate and efficient accounting, consolidation and internal reporting for Whitbread PLC.

Role: Finance Manager – Internal Reporting

Reports to: Financial Controller – Internal Reporting & Projects

Location: Dunstable, Bedfordshire.

Employment Type: Permanent

The Finance Manager – Internal Reporting is responsible for the accurate and efficient accounting, consolidation and internal reporting for Whitbread PLC.

Inside the Role

  • Delivery of a clean & efficient period close process
  • Ensure periodic P&L and BS Packs are produced to a high standard and on time
  • Make sure that P&L Close and BS Review meetings are well attended and conducted with relevant challenge and insight
  • Encourage closer alignment between internal and external reporting
  • Be responsible for ensuring the Whitbread balance sheet reconciliations are reconciled and reviewed in line with policy
  • Champion FCF to deliver best in class risk based financial controls
  • Review A&C processes to bring alignment between UK and Germany
  • Deliver accurate cashflow forecasting to support treasury cash management decisions
  • Offer support and coaching to Internal Reporting analysts, including day-to-day prioritisation and longer-term study/career support
  • Build relationships and play a key role in the management of the wider A&C team

We're open to you

  • Qualified accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of ERP and other financial systems
  • Leadership, planning and understanding of complex processes
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, including influencing at all levels within the business
  • Strong database and Excel modelling skills
  • Experience of planning and delivering controls and governance
  • Proven ability to work as a lead and subject matter expert as part of a cross functional team
