Job Summary

Reporting to the Finance Director you will partner with sales and category marketing teams to manage customer development and trade activities and processes for Foodservice.  Develop sales and broker plans and coordinate ongoing reviews to deliver annual operating plan objectives. Coordinate development of contracts and bid proposals.  Oversee all planning, forecasting, and analyses of foodservice trade spend activity.

Position Responsibilities

  • You will create sales plans that outline growth opportunity and strategies to obtain results; includes customer P&L analysis, customer mix / profitability planning, customer trade and sales forecasting
  • Serve as the liaison for sales, category marketing and all functional corporate services in bid (RFI / RFP) and contract relations
  • Oversee the annual operating plan and financial forecasts for trade and other sales-related accounts including the impact of pricing decisions
  • You will oversee the period close activities for trade spend; includes journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with SOX controls
  • Analyze trade spend to assist the sales and category marketing teams in making sound trade investment decisions
  • Support business changes due to reorganizations, customer moves, mergers, and acquisitions
  • Support all audits and tax requests
  • All other responsibilities and special projects as assigned

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required – MBA/CPA a plus
  • Minimum 7 years of professional general business and financial experience. Foodservice industry experience preferred
  • P&L experience along with knowledge of financial systems and accounting concepts
  • Experience forecasting for a given area and understanding the key drivers of that area
  • Ability to leverage analytics and insights to generate meaningful financial solutions
  • Experience leading multiple stage projects from conception to completion
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with internal customers and peers
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and SAP
  • Proficiency managing and making recommendations for efficiencies with systems and tools
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP accounting policies
