The G&C Business Partner supports the FP&A/Controller ensuring key reporting, accounting, internal controls and processes are in place, supporting both the markets and factories within the region.  

A significant part of the role is to identify control gaps, support designing solutions, validate and   implement them to support high quality and integrity of financial reporting

What are we looking for?

• This role partners with multiple stakeholders including, the Financial Controller, Segment G&FC partners, SFO, auditors, ICTC, business operations Associates and others to identify and deliver improved efficiency, effectiveness, transparency and controls within the close and reporting cycle.  This role needs a high-level of digital capability as it requires analysis of results and providing insights to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financials and continuous improvements.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• The scope of controllership covers markets and factories within each region.
• The purpose of this role is to ensure that proper accounting and reporting processes are in place throughout the business unit to support complete, accurate, timely and high-quality financial statements (Quality of Accounts)
• The role partners with internal and external business functions to ensure Mars Global Best Practice internal controls are implemented and executed to protect Mars’ assets. This includes identifying control gaps and remediating deficiencies (Governance and Controls).
• The role has support from the T3 FP&A Director who steps in for escalations and prioritization.
• The role works closely with multiple stakeholders, using the One Mars standard approach to Controllership, Financial Operations (MGSF) and Tax & Treasury Benefits (ICTC) to enable quality financial insights and analysis for the CFO, Segment Controller, Supply and Demand functions.
• This role serves as the key point of contact for auditors focusing on business, market and factory operations. 
• The role works closely with the FP&A/Financial Controller Segment Controller to drive global programs including a strong digital agenda, implementing Global digital tools and embedding digital security frameworks.
• Coordinating regional Cash specific to working capital and Tax.
