About the role

This is a new key and exciting role within the Technology Finance to create a centre of excellence for network audit and controls. The role is focussed on working with strategic partners, such as Sky, Ofcom, the CMA, DMSL and CTIL to drive clarity through numbers for Vmo2 Technology spend. The role includes commercial evaluation and is required to evidence performance to some of our major customers and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, run and operate the requirements for the network financials in the Sky contract including the quarterly rates, final rates and be the primary point of responsibility for the audit whilst ensuring there is a clear process of documentation, review and sign off in line with the contractual expectations.
  • Responsible for green bond analysis, process and sign off.
  • Management, formulation, and response for all CMA, Ofcom responses
  • Management of DMSL audit, spectrum, and RF Licenses
  • Management of group reporting, including cash commitments
  • Responsible for the maintenance, co-ordination, and audit of SOX controls for technology finance along with their improvement/refinement.
  • Responsible for co-ordination for the CTIL audit and reporting outcomes to the shareholder directors.
  • Management of IFRS16 monthly analysis and building recommendations to improve the process and drive effective management. Building requirements to educate the business.
  • Perform ad hoc performance analysis and reporting as needed

What We Need from You:

Essential Skills:

  • Ideally from a telecoms or technology background
  • Good knowledge of accounting, finance systems, financial statements (knowledge of Oracle, Essbase and MicroStrategy an advantage)
  • Excellent excel skills and the ability to produce robust financial models.
  • Part Qualified Accountant
  • Excellent communication skills – can easily form and increasingly leverage relationships to get a desired outcome. Able to communicate orally and in writing, complex and detailed information in an easy-to-understand manner to all levels of the business
  • Ability to prioritise multiple demands on time, to remain focused on areas of value add
  • Self-motivating – experience of setting own agenda and knowing when to look for support
