The Team:
We are currently a 32 strong team, split into four key areas - Stock, Non-stock, Data and Reporting. The Accounts Payable (AP) team is an important function that requires those with vision, the ability to deliver change, efficiency and of course results! This role is for a Finance Data Analyst, working as part of the AP team, and reports into the AP Reporting Manager. The AP team is responsible for matching and payment of stock and non-stock invoices, managing supplier accounts and resolving any queries promptly and efficiently.

The Role:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Running Weekly Reports -AP Overdue, Net Positioning, POA v Overdue, Other
  • Updating weekly KPI Dashboard
  • Month End AP Ledger Close and AP Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Ownership of delete invoice process -reporting and assistance when necessary
  • Assist AP teams with GRNI, Feed or other clearances and write offs
  • Assist report development in Power BI, Dynamics and SSRS for AP
  • Identify data integrity issues and assisting Data team when required
  • Super User for AP systems -Oracle, Instream etc
  • Point of contact between AP and FinSys and Logistics
  • Providing staff training and support for internal systems
  • Ad hoc project work
  • Other reporting and assistance as required by the business

What Success Looks Like:

  • Providing exceptional support to the AP Reporting Manager and the AP Team as well as the wider business
  • Interrogating and analysing reports to see what the root cause analysis on any issues causing bottlenecks for AP
  • Cultivating and maintaining good internal business relationships

Skills and experience you will need:

  • Good AP and accounting experience
  • Experience working with Stock Ledgers
  • Experience of managing multiple critical paths
  • Excellent reporting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to build strong relationships
  • Exceptional problem solving skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapid change
  • Takes initiative
  • Accurate and logical approach to work
  • Great Time Management Skills
  •  Advanced Excel knowledge
