Finance Business Partner - £40,000 - £60,000
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to join our Small & Medium Enterprises (SME) Finance team, providing high quality financial support and robust challenge. The SME business is part of our wider Commercial Lines business, which writes more than £2.6bn of premium and delivers over £200m of profit.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focussed individual (qualified or exam qualified accountant), with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders, communicate data-driven insights and help drive business success. The ideal candidate will having a background of proactive stakeholder management and a commercial focus.
A bit about the job:
This area of Aviva has been going through tremendous growth recently, and we continue to develop new distribution channels and product lines to maintain that growth trajectory, with investment being made to support that ambition.
The focus of the role is to provide financial support and robust challenge in equal measure to our SME business and will be supporting SME performance management culture and the wider team in driving better decision-making and generating operational efficiencies.
The successful candidate will act as a Finance point of contact for the SME business, using their financial acumen to support commercial decision and develop financial/business plans. They will contribute to the preparation and delivery of the annual plan, identify and track initiatives and work with senior stakeholders to help the business to deliver against their commitments. They will also help to shape and manage delivery of change initiatives as well as producing SME and wider Commercial Lines papers into key business stakeholders.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Commercial foresight and strong financial understanding of the Insurance business - a strong familiarity with Commercial Lines general insurance would be great to see
Background of commercially focused finance roles, with business partnering experience preferred
Knowledge and familiarity with financial modelling
Ability to use analytical skills to draw insights from MI
Good networking, relationship management and influencing skills across all levels of management, with the ability to build credible working relationships
Strong project management skills and can prioritise workload optimally to meet deadlines while maintaining high quality of outputs
What you’ll get for this role:
National starting salary between £40,000 - £60,000, London starting salary between £50,000 - £60,000 depending on skills, experience, and qualifications
