An incredible opportunity for a Finance Analyst. 

Our Finance department is made up of 5 teams, supporting and advising the business to make the best possible decisions. The post holder will report to the Finance Manager, supporting to manage the functional relationships, and helping implement business strategy. They will also drive business performance through accurate, reliable, and insightful financial reporting and analysis, to aid commercial decision making. As well as driving efficiency through developing and refining current procedures and identifying any issue.

Key Responsibilities:

• Owns and run the process to generate daily and weekly sales and trade reporting

• Business partner with key operational ecommerce stakeholders to influence and assist in providing insight to ensure key operational KPI’s are robust and delivered

• Preparation of the month end accounts, processing accruals & prepayments, journal posting and analysis & commentary on variances to f’cast.

• Works with Finance Manager and Trade Mgr’s to track Sales and Margin performance, by setting challenging and robust targets and accurate reporting and analysis.

• Analyse profitably of trade driving activity, identifying mechanisms to drive key trade metrics (footfall, conversion, AOV etc)

• Challenge finance manager on performance & ways of working to develop practises currently in place

• Identify growth opportunities through current trading channels (ecomm, Mcomm etc) and investigate further channels to market.

• Weekly Reporting and Analysis

• Forecasting on a quarterly / monthly basis with continual focus on improving forecasting and efficiency

• Improve forecast accuracy by working with key stakeholders around the business to better understand all inputs and drive accountability

• Identifying risks and opportunities

• Ah hoc analysis and scenario modelling to inform business decision making

About You:

• Previous experience in Retail Finance environment, ideally with a Ecommerce background and management accounting experience is desirable

• Strong financial control skills

• The ability to juggle a variety of tasks in a time pressured environment where re-prioritising is the norm

• Solid analytical and data interpretation skills utilising strong Excel Skills

• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to challenge when required and work well within and across both finance and operational teams

• The desire to complete a recognised professional qualification (CIMA / ACCA) and ideally be already studying towards this
