At the Coca-Cola Company, we are a center of excellence who work collaboratively to find new and innovative ways to strategically move the business forward by balancing the short-term and long-term results, while proactively leading, shaping, and creating system value. We set the standards and policies for the Company and we’re looking for candidates with a proven ability to analyze and interpret financial data to make a global impact for some of the most recognized brands in the world. The Accountant II performs a variety of accounting activities to control the organization’s financial resources and ensure that it follows all relevant regulations; reconciles accounts; supports a complete and accurate general ledger; collects and compiles financial information; prepares financial reports and accounting statements; provides technical accounting advice within area of expertise. 

 

What You’ll Do for Us  

  • Facilitate transactional processing for monthly financial close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, general ledger/OPEX/Trial Balance account analysis, balance sheet/P&L reviews, and vendor performance letter preparation. 

  • Translate prescribed volume, warehouse cycles, and other labor/overhead expenses into COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) reporting for comparison to current year business plans.  

  • Support data collection and preparation of the business planning process for budget reviews with key stakeholders.  

  • Research root cause and effective system solutions for financial discrepancies by partnering with the stakeholders.  

  • Attend weekly meetings with stakeholders to review and implement a course of actions which ensures adherence to Internal controls and supports the highest standards in financial integrity.  

  • Produce and review completed analyses that require application of financial concepts and/or tools. 

  • Supports continuous improvement strategy through financial analysis and ad hoc reporting. 

 

Qualifications & Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting is needed with CPI/CPA. 

  • 5+ years of professional experience in similar positions or similar function and experience in Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting and familiar with ERP systems and productivity/reporting software. 

  • Candidate must have prior knowledge of SAP and proven background of financial reporting. 

  • Must have a firm understanding of absorption accounting and standard costing. 

  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Practices) and working knowledge of internal control principles. 

  • Knowledge of local accounting and tax legislation is ideal.  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Power BI & Microsoft Excel to include dashboard creation, macro development, and modeling. 

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment; able to multi-task with proven follow-through and adherence to changing priorities and deadlines.
