Job Summary:

Under the guidance of the Senior Manager or Director of Enterprise Security, is accountable for planning, developing, implementing and managing the organization’s investigative and/or physical security programs and strategies to include Business Continuity, safety programs and crisis management.  

Job Responsibilities:

Directs the corporate security investigative staff in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining security processes across the organization to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure to liability to reduce financial loss to the organization.

Plans and directs the investigative and/or physical security function under senior management guidance.

Accountable for planning, developing, and implementing the organization's investigative and/or physical security programs and training strategies at single or multiple sites.

Responsible for overall planning, organizing and directing all actions of Enterprise Security and ensures its effective operation.

Implements the policies, procedures and systems required to maintain and enhance the organizational mission. Interprets and applies laws, orders, rules and regulations pertaining to enterprise policy and procedure.

Directs plans and carries out the most sensitive and complex investigations, investigative support and/or physical security operations.  Briefs both senior and executive management on the status of these within all business divisions. 

Develops and documents standards for measuring the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

Evaluates and applies in-depth knowledge to establish standards of efforts required scope and depth of fact finding needed, proper use of techniques and conclusions of assigned tasks.

Plans, develops and implements procedures to obtain, maintain, secure, analyze, file and account for relevant reports to appropriate officials.

Maintains expert knowledge of specific requirements imposed by law enforcement/government agencies, consulting with other members of the security function, as well as consulting with operating unit and field personnel. 

Participates and handles extremely sensitive or high profile assignment that may have political or social ramifications within the public domain.

Directs briefings with law enforcement, department and Enterprise staff, and coordinates the use of necessary resources to achieve company objectives. Interacts with all levels within the organization, and acts as duty expert on required duties. 

Manages and supports the information reporting and case management systems to the security functional owners within the company.

Develops trains and directs internal and external security personnel within the organization or functional area.

Provides leadership and direction on the internal emergency response team and crisis management teams as needed for emergency and disaster situations.

Responsible for modifying and annually certifying the auction specific Business Continuity Plan for the location. Complete all required BCP training and remain in compliance with Enterprise Security’s annual certification requirements for BCPs.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements – Experience/ Education/Training: 

High School Diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.

3 + years’ experience with a security agency, law enforcement organization or military experience 

Supervisor experience preferred.

Current knowledge in security investigations and physical security operations.

Advanced interpersonal skills, able to relate at all levels of industry and government. 

Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Demonstrated ability to operate desktop PC and associated computer applications such as Microsoft Office.

Possesses a high level of organizational skills.

Demonstrated problem solving ability and leadership.  

Experience in corporate environment with multi-cultural understanding and approach. 

Track record of successful and timely project management, goal achievement, and building positive programs.
