Identify and understand key components of antimicrobial test methods.Initially, work would be completed to learn relevant test methods and use a new perspective to identify sources of variability within the method.Once these have been identified, experimentation will be completed to test the impact of each of these components on the final anti-microbial results.While most of the work would focus the microbial impact of the identified method components, some learnings may be applied in partnership with analytical and product development resources. A stretch objective of this project would be to identify and test ways to simplify this method to help support ongoing automation and high-throughput screening development efforts.

Qualifications

PhD candidate with background in Life Science-related discipline (e.g. Microbiology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology). Mastery of common life science laboratory techniques (e.g. sterile technique, cell culture, pipetting, etc...). Strong communication and collaboration skills.
