Job Purpose and Impact
Are you passionate about manufacturing processes and you love to work in a hardworking team of dedicated professionals? We are looking for a Feed Processing Animal Care Technician to support the execution of the production processes within a work area, operational department or technical domain. The position closely follows guidelines and specifications to ensure delivery of high-quality data. The position will also be responsible for housekeeping duties as well as a role in equipment maintenance/repair.
Key Accountabilities
- Actively take part and work towards building a safety culture that reduces and eliminates risk.
- Compile and report accurate data, observations/deviations and production quality measurement on time and according to scope.
- Give continuous evaluation and improvement of production process, daily routines and procedures.
- Operate processes to ensure that the production outcome, quality, quantity and timing fulfill customer specifications and requirements efficiency.
- Align with corporate policies and procedures related to Environment, Health and Safety and Food Safety, Quality andRegulatory
- Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing operations
- Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold.
- Must be able to operate machinery.
- Ability to work overtime, holidays, nights, 1 weekend per month.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects and achieve timelines
- Must be able to use a computer; with emphasis on maintaining database applications
- Must be able to work independently, and with other team members, with minimal guidance
- Must be able to receive and execute direction from leadership in written and oral form
- Must be able to maintain a safe, clean working environment in an agricultural research setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- One year (or more) of experience in animal feed production or related areas.
- Professional certificate in a relevant area such as production engineering, chemical processing, industrial food production, automation, mechanical, electrical engineering
- Attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Moderate computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, and database navigation)
