Job Summary:
Disney Streaming encompasses the teams leading the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Star+ streaming services within Disney’s Media & Entertainment Distribution group. We sit at the intersection between entertainment, sports, and technology and seek to connect viewers with the stories they love, while driving the streaming industry forward with consumer-first innovation.
Fan Engagement Manager, ESPN+ will work across DMED and ESPN teams to develop strategies and execute tactics that drive engagement across ESPN+ and ultimately reduce churn.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Director and Senior Manager to develop actionable insights from data, analytics and research to drive programs, concepts, product and editorial to maximize engagement of ESPN+ subscribers.
- Work closely with teams focused on engagement and retention, such as Data Analytics and Lifecycle to implement plans and measure effectiveness of each component to ensure refinement and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate across all relevant groups at DMED and at ESPN including product, product marketing, editorial, programming, and production.
- Ideate, test, iterate and provide insights around retention programs and effectiveness of efforts, based on goals of reducing churn and increasing engagement.
- Work closely with both DMED Data and ESPN Research teams to ensure we have tooled ESPN Digital Products to maximize data, feedback and measurement of efforts.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of ESPN Digital Products and fan behavior
- Ability to understand key consumer data
- Strong strategic thinker
- Excellent communicator with cross functional leadership
- Exceptional decision-making skills with the ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate high impact retention initiatives
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of key sports on ESPN Platforms
- DTC experience
- Experience with ESPN Digital products in a business setting
- Ability to influence colleagues and work across a matrix of stakeholders
- Outstanding presentation creation skills

- Advanced degree in business, data or another relevant field is preferred.
