Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Associate Level Facilities Maintenance /Air Operations Specialist to support our Hunter Facilities Operation in Havelock, NC.

Selected candidate will work at a location in Hertford, NC.

Position Responsibilities:

- Support Air Operations for a runway which is utilized multiple times each week on a 24 x 7 basis with frequent night landings

- Works on Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Weather Observation certification equipment to provide weather guidance to incoming and outgoing aircraft

- Utilizes general knowledge of building codes, regulations and safety procedures

- With limited supervision, constructs commercial office space by providing overall construction capabilities

- Reads complex blueprints

- Responds to trouble calls and resolves a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity

- Repairs and maintains plant and office facilities equipment and demonstrates advanced skill level in these areas

- Interprets basic schematics and diagrams

- Provides guidance to less experienced employees

- Reviews customer requirements and may evaluate product capabilities

- Uses a variety of hand and power tools to construct, renovate and repair facilities and equipment

- May receive specialized equipment training

- May provide training to peers and/or customers on the general use of equipment

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at our Hertford, NC location.

Must have and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

- Experience with Facilities Operations/Maintenance

- Experience supporting Air Operations 

- Experience using Microsoft Office Applications ( Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Capable of working on-call, if needed

- Ability to obtain FAA Weather Observation Certification within 1 year of hire

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

- Experience with Physical Security

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years\' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
