Boeing Global Services (BGS) F-22 Raptor Program has an exciting opportunity for a highly-skilled and self-motivated Project Management Specialist (Level 4) to join our Modernization Program Management team. In this role, the focus will be on the overall performance of multiple contracts and projects from proposal through execution. This role will report to the F-22 Modernization Program Manager.
The F-22 Modernization Portfolio includes several ongoing projects including software and hardware development, aircraft retrofit, and test infrastructure improvements and maintenance. The program is projecting significant growth in the Modernization portfolio over the next 5 to 10 years. Frequent interaction and coordination with Mission Systems, Chief Engineering, Senior Leadership, Lockheed Martin, and the United States Air Force will be required.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Berkeley, MO.
Position Responsibilities
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Leads others and directs all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards)
Oversight, and management responsibility (including performance mgmt & reporting) for a portfolio of small to medium size projects in support of organizational the goals and objectives
Identifies key stakeholder project specific objectives and requirements
Ensures assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan
Provides in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans
Provides assessment of team performance to appropriate management
Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation
Provides input of team member performance to management, where appropriate
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
Experience developing and/or managing project schedules and budgets
Experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
Experience developing and maintaining integrated schedules
Experience in Portfolio Management
Experience with modernization and development of aircraft programs
Experience working with and presenting to technical, managerial and executive level audiences
Experience working as a change agent and/or transforming businesses
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate St. Louis area or relocate at their own expense.
