Job Description

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Administrative tasks/duties will range from simple to complex. Typical tasks will include calendar management, travel coordination, expense report preparation and casual buying. Successful candidates are also highly adaptable and strongly partner with other administrative team members. The role will perform as a proactive member of the Hotel Operations team while supporting the Executives and teams, including assisting with special projects, contributing ideas for continuous improvement, and may provide back-up support to the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President as needed.

This role provides administrative support to the following: Director, Hotel Operations – Lodging; Director, Hotel Operations – Retail, Photo & Spa; Senior Manager, Lodging; Senior Manager, Retail, Photo & Spa and Manager, Island Operations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years administrative experience in a corporate environment with proven success interacting, partnering and networking with all levels of management, including executives in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to ensure professional interaction with senior executives, internal partners and external contacts
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and time management stills with attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, make decisions and change course of action quickly, if necessary
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • A self-starter; ability to anticipate needs, take initiative, proactively problem-solve using sound judgement; must appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Enthusiastic attitude, strong partnering and networking skills, and ability to influence all levels
  • Strong computer/technology skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); Audio Visual Conferencing (Zoom); in-depth knowledge of SAP (e.g., time reporting, casual buying) and Concur

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Disney executive secretarial experience
  • Familiarity with Disney Cruise Line Operations
  • Knowledge of the WDPR culture, structure and operating practices
  • Video conference set up
  • Multi-geography and multi-site calendaring

Required Education

High School Diploma

Preferred Education

Bachelor’s Degree

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
