Position Summary

The Executive Director, Worldwide Established Brands, Established Brands Team Lead will serve as the global leader accountable for maximizing the value of the brands within the Established Brands portfolio. This includes brands currently designated as Established Brands (e.g. Baraclude, Rayataz, Vidaza, etc.) as well as brands that will eventually transition to Established Brands as they approach loss of exclusivity (e.g. Revlimid, Abraxane, etc.). This position is responsible for leading the global cross-functional team supporting Established Brands, including partners from key markets, to develop the global strategies and tactical plans to support markets that continue to commercialize these brands and ensure alignment in strategic execution across markets.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Global brand leadership for the portfolio of brands within the Established Brands Franchise
  • Leads the global strategic planning and brand planning across Marketing, Medical, VAP, GPS, Regulatory, and the regions to maximize the long-term value of these brands
  • Leads global execution of existing LOE plans during peri-LOE period in collaboration from global/regional matrix functions and countries, including oversight for supply, pricing, tenders, promotion, etc. Responsible to ensure markets seamlessly execute their LOE plans, identify risks & opportunities, and partner with these markets to develop mitigation plans and business cases as necessary.
  • Leads the development of business cases in partnership with countries and matrix partners for patient centered innovation and value enhancing opportunities (e.g., product promotion, business development) that expand patient access, address barriers in the patient journey, and enhances brand value for the Established Brands portfolio
  • Partners with Corporate Affairs and Communications to develop a communications strategy to proactively shape the environment & reactively address potential PR issues and challenges
  • Partners with WW EB LOE Planning to capture and codify learnings from the execution of LOE plans
  • Partners with opinion leaders, advocacy groups and other stakeholders, external agencies/vendors where necessary to maintain BMS’ presence and leadership within designated Therapeutic Areas
  • Partners with Medical and HEOR to maximize impact of ongoing studies and to inform future evidence generation strategy that enhances brand value
  • Partners with Value, Access and Pricing team on the alignment of global strategy, enhancement of value story, and evolution of GOA policy & processes
  • Partners with the relevant WW therapeutic area franchises to ensure global strategic alignment that maximizes patient benefit while enhancing enterprise value
  • Partner with WW EB team members to support key projects related to LOEs and Established Brands
  • Ensure all strategies, plans, and tactics are in line with legal and compliance requirements

Requirements

  • BA/BS required; life sciences degree or equivalent desirable, MBA/graduate degree preferred. 8-10 years of industry experience and a minimum of 10-15 years required.  Functional experience within hematology/oncology strongly preferred.  Scientific background / acumen highly preferred. Sales and marketing leadership, with P&L management preferred
  • Experience in ex-US markets and regional or global experience highly desirable
  • Experience with managing and maximizing late life cycle products a plus
  • Individual should have proven track record demonstrating breadth and depth across marketing competencies, BMS values and exemplary achievement of performance objectives
  • Demonstrated experience in leading strategically, driving performance, communicating with impact, and creating a strong, inclusive, energizing culture
  • Experience in mobilizing matrix team members, embracing teamwork within a cross functional environment will be critical
