Job Description
MAIN PURPOSE:
- To manage banking operations.
- To coordinate in the month-end closing activities and reports.
- To maintain the internal controls and integrity of treasury records and documentations.
- To perform NSI master data related work such as client creation/ modification & TP validation
- To perform any other / adhoc analysis time to time
- To coordinate and liaise with third party service provider for treasury functions of Montblanc Retail entity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Banking operation
- Maintain banking relationships and facility management for Richemont India and Montblanc Retail.
- Record and monitor bank transactions, requiring manual postings (currencies, manual payments, refunds, etc.)
- Preparation of periodic bank reconciliation statement to resolve any differences in a timely manner
- Validation of recording and reporting of banking transactions of Montblanc Retail entity including bank reconciliations
- Process timely and accurate payments to domestic, foreign vendors, employee reimbursements, statutory dues and intercompany transfers
- Maintain bank accounts including but not limited to signatory updates, submission of KYC forms and requirements, renewal of facilities, etc. for Richemont India and Montblanc Retail.
- To work closely with the bank for obtaining mandatory documentation from bank to facilitate return movements (GR Waiver) and close the same on stipulated time frame.
- To ensure compliances related to imports /exports to RBI are done timely and accurately including timely closing of IDPMS and EDPMS database with Central bank (RBI) and ensure no gaps.
- Monitor and propose available bank solutions that would increase efficiency
- Ensuring proper utilization of idle funds through parking in fixed deposits
- Petty Cash Management at HO and Boutiques
- Liaise with bank account managers for any issues or concerns and other ad-hoc tasks/ project
Master data related work
- Managing Client Creation and modification in NSI.
- Performing MRP & TP Validation at consolidation level.
- Assist in implementation of any new projects and processes relating to improvement in customer / client at NSI level.
Month-end Activities & Reports
- Preparation periodic vendor ageing and monthly reports.
- Preparation month closing reconciliation and reports such as custom duty reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly cash report and projected cash flow statement.
- Co-ordinate for month-end closing by assisting Head of Accounts in expenses analysis and any other ad-hoc analysis from time to time.
- Booking of salary and reimbursement of expenses (CONCUR expense booking)
Internal control and Audit process
- Ensure effective archival of documents and efficient retrieval
- Effective documentation and record-keeping of all the transactions recorded in accounting system.
- Preparation of monthly files and ensuring adequate documentation for SOPs in place
- Contributes to the formalization or continuous improvement of standard operating procedures and processes.
- Provides any documentation requested for testing purpose: external audit, internal controls, ICS related functions etc.
Other / adhoc requests
- To keep abreast of all applicable, relevant statutory topics and ensure compliances thereto for the relevant function
- Assists Head of Accounts in any other tasks as may be required.
Education:
- Graduate / Finance Graduate (Preferred)
Required experience:
- Not less than 3-5 years of relevant experience, exposure in luxury goods industry would be an advantage
Technical skills / abilities:
- Solid accounting skills and treasury background
- Exposure to work practices in a corporate head-office preferred
- Knowledge of international payment regulations and processes
- Knowledge of computerised accounting system – especially SAP
