Our Executive Support Professionals are highly-respected because their skills are quite simply, essential. You’d be a key member of a dynamic, fast-paced team that creates the music throughout our global theme parks, attractions, and resorts, and would work with some of the most creative, intelligent people in the business. Join us – apply today!

This position currently reports to WDI’s VP Global Franchise & Partnership Development and Executive Story Development.

Responsibilities:

These teams are responsible for the integration of TWDC Franchises (i.e. Marvel & Lucas) into Park experiences along with the integration of third party partners into our parks globally. Additionally, this team leads the story development needs of all park experiences globally as well as framing up and developing IP for TWDC content teams. This is a unique opportunity for anyone looking to further develop their skills in a fun, fast moving dynamic environment. This joint team is closely aligned with many studio, tv, Disney+ partners so experience in that world is ideal. It goes without saying that there will be expense reports, travel planning, and heavy calendar jockeying, but this job is very much about people. The relationship you form with the executives you support is absolutely critical, because that’s what enables you to become a true partner. In addition to understanding your executives business -- and business needs -- inside and out, you’ll also need to develop deep knowledge of the leadership and workings of WDI and of related departments across the Disney enterprise. As the “face” of your executives within The Walt Disney Company, your professionalism, loyalty and attitude are a reflection of the office, and as such, are a key component to its success. Every day as an Executive Support Professional is different! On any given day you might:

Manage a very busy calendar on behalf of your executive. You’ll work with colleagues across TWDC and Imagineering, as well as with many different Disney executives across Studios, Disney+, Consumer Products and external production companies;

Assist with other Franchise, Partnership and Story Team members with various administrative, departmental and office needs;

Conduct research, fact-check existing work, and prepare agendas and summaries pending the meeting needs. You’ll have tasks that you “own” completely and will provide regular assistance on others;

Create global, multi-city travel itineraries, taking into account time zones, weather delays, traffic and fatigue levels;

Interface directly with other senior executives and their support teams – your ability to work well with people on all levels is a very important part of your job;

Review your leader’s schedule to build-in time for things like thinking and traveling to their next meeting or be mindful of the different timezones partners are working in;

Understand the day’s priorities so you can be strategic about how you direct phone calls and set meetings;

Schedule conference rooms, meetings and zoom chats;

Be ready to throw the entire schedule out the door when an emergency comes up, then pick it up again when the dust settles;

Handle extremely confidential, sensitive information, remembering that Disney is a publicly traded company;

Draft letters and emails on behalf of your leaders;

Assist with on-boarding new employees – you’ll be the “friendly face” that newbies count on to answer all their questions, including some who are extremely senior in the organization;

Manage large purchase orders and vendor contracts or any office supply needs;

Mentor and train other support professionals in hard skills like computer programs, and soft skills like teamwork; and

Plan your executive involvement in large, high-profile events like premiers, product launches, off-sites and team-building activities.

Basic Qualifications:

Here’s what you will need to be successful in this role:

Sharp written and verbal communication skills, including flawless grammar and a rich vocabulary;

Desire to immerse yourself fully and learn all aspects of your executive’s business;

Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines/deliverables;

Strong proficiency with all types of computers, phones and office equipment, as well as mastery of Microsoft Office programs, SAP, Confluence, Concur, and working in a Windows environment;

A calm head and steady hand to deal with the unexpected;

“EQ” skills to build bridges, forge alliances and encourage people to want to work with you;

Complete reliability handling confidential, often highly sensitive information;

Desire to truly be helpful to your leaders and co-workers, to go the extra mile without being asked. Resourcefulness is key;

Some flexibility in your schedule – we value work/life balance, but in a pinch, a bit more time is needed;

Very strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail;

A highly professional demeanor, positive outlook and a can-do attitude; and

Strong professionalism and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

It would be great if you also had these skills:

At least 5 years supporting an executive and/or equivalent experience;

Experience at The Walt Disney Company;

Experience working in a large public corporation;

Experience working with Creative teams and executives;

Familiarity and experience working with TV & film related teams; and

Excellent knowledge of MAC computers and software such as Keynote.

Required Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education

Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
