Job Summary:

As an Event Coordinator, you will support the Event Managers in the planning and execution of events and assigned projects. You will help manage all aspects of an event by performing complex project support.

You will report to the a member of the Event management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the event process and DPEP functional responsibilities.
  • Work on budgets.
  • Help support events, while working with the Event Manager, as assigned.
  • Schedule all project team meetings and executive updates while managing deliverables.
  • Facilitate all walk-through coordination and logistics elements.
  • Manage the coordination and production of event elements such as collateral, contracts, room blocks, communication, and purchase orders.
  • Manage all project team timelines and milestones.
  • Ensure assigned events' documentation and project work is completed.
  • Ensure all aspects of individual events are communicated to cast and partners.
  • Can manage a smaller scale event within the financial guidelines outlined, or can perform a Team Leader role for an element of a larger scale event/production.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with partners across the Resort.
  • Being able to handle guests issue before, during and after the events.
  • Close out events and projects within the specified timeframe.
  • Can respond quickly to requests while providing recommendations on feasibility to leadership.
  • Advocate for event & day guests by looking at each interaction as an opportunity to provide a streamlined and over-the-top experience.
  • Provide direction and feedback.
  • Provide direction.
  • Escalate any cast-related pertinent issues to the Event Manager.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Prior events experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Operations, entertainment or theme park experience.
  • Cloud Storage and SAP knowledge.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Disney knowledge.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience working with Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and PowerPoint.
  • Comprehension of coordination and logistics.
