Job Description

 The role:

Adobe is seeking an experienced professional to join our Trust Team and lead our Policy and Government Affairs activities across Europe. This new team member will lead Adobe's public policy engagement with government officials and manage a team dedicated to executing on strategic public policy priorities in the region. This will include developing a deep understanding of Adobe's business, tracking, measuring, prioritizing all policy development and work activities. It also entails identifying opportunities or challenges for the company's business objectives and working closely with business executives across the company to communicate, develop plans and effectively execute on our company policy priorities. The candidate must have excellent communications skills, in-depth knowledge of government, as well as a demonstrated ability to do effective policy and government engagement work. The person will need to work successfully with Adobe's key stakeholders, including business leaders throughout Europe, as well as government policy makers and other companies, to help expand the environment for Adobe's products and services. The candidate should have a strong understanding of public policy development and in-depth knowledge of issues. Strong leadership, collaboration skills, and the ability to work on impactful projects with other team members is also required. The position will be based in London, Paris, Munich, or Brussels and will report to the Vice President of Policy, Government Relations and Ethical Innovation located in Washington, Do

What you'll do:•

 Ensure Adobe is trusted by government officials as a good corporate citizen• Lead Adobe's European-based Policy and Government Relations team• Develop and help team members achieve their potential and continue to improve Adobe's operations in the region• Represent Adobe with key government stakeholders on a key policy and social public policy issues• Develop and implement effective policies and engagement strategies for Adobe's priority policy issues in all European markets and the EU• Track, measure, and report on progress• Act as the primary point of contact for civic, industry and/or policy associations• Prepare briefings for executive interaction with policymakers and community leaders• Analyze legislative and regulatory proposals to assess relevance and impact• Draft advocacy materials and position papers, internal and external communications• Create a public policy strategic plan that reflects business priorities and tracks developments and advocacy for all relevant policy areas• Appropriately leverage external resources such as trade associations, consultant, and coalitions to advocate on behalf of Adobe for our policy priorities with government officials• Successfully advocate for policy changes with governments throughout Europe that are good for our employees, customers, external stakeholders, and business generally

What you'll need to succeed:• 

Experience managing, motivating, and developing a team of policy professionals• Experience working in government and as an external advocate (~10 years)• Experience working across European countries to influence activities and outcomes in the EU and EC• Experience reading, interpreting, and analyzing legislation and policy briefs• Excellent communications, collaboration, and organizational skills• Ability to prioritize work and execute on several simultaneous projects• Experience successfully collaborating with people across different departments and organizations• English, French, or German language skills At Adobe, you will be immersed in an exceptional work environment that is recognized around the world.
