Amazon is currently looking to hire an EU Real Estate Due Diligence / Site Appraisal Manager to join the Real Estate team and play a critical role in undertaking due diligence & assessments of potential Amazon sites, with a focus on UK. Role is to be based anywhere in EU, ideally in UK London LHR16.

In this role you will work closely with the Real Estate transactions managers mainly in UK & MENA(Middle East, North Africa), depending on requirements, to assess sites for construction feasibility and advise Leadership Teams based on findings.

The successful candidate should be comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment & be able to manage high workload in an efficient way. They must have a good understanding of the construction process & the issues that can impact a project delivery, along with good communication skills. The role will be highly fulfilling.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
Lead approved consultants who will be undertaking Traffic assessments, Environmental & Technical Due Diligence, permitting reports and acoustic surveys.
Review & summarize the risks flagged by consultants reports, before presenting to the Amazon Business Units.
Work closely with Legal, Risk and Operation teams in Europe, with regards to issues and potential risk mitigations.
Run weekly meetings with internal teams and external consultants in order to prepare reports for the business.
Set up clear tracking process that monitors all external parties work / report preparation.

Handover global risk assessment to Construction team.


For this role, Amazon will be able to offer coaching in areas where the successful candidate is not experienced (either traffic studies OR due diligence)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Real Estate, Transportation, Architectural Studies or any related topics.
Experience as a project manager in the logistics and/or manufacturing field
Fluent in English, Arabic or other European languages is a plus




PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


Ability to communicate in a precise (data-oriented) and structured manner
Excellent analytical and time management skills
Ability to comfortably and confidently present to all levels within the enterprise and to work with both technical and non-technical individuals
