We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as an ETF and Indexing Investment and Sales Specialist Associate, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Role Purpose

Passive growth is a long-term, strategic initiative for AM. ETF and Indexing seeks to ensure that AM offers a coherent Passive product and service offering that reflects the strategic importance of Passive investments to our business in a rapidly expanding market. During 2022 ETF and Indexing will launch new products, make complex enhancements to existing capabilities and drive expansion in Asia.

The role is focused on supporting the ETF and Indexing Investment Specialist Team which is responsible for product related sales support needs and content production for the HSBC ETF and Indexing product range. The role will require a range of skills both quantitative and qualitative and familiarity with a range of internal and external data and other systems.

The individual will work closely with sales, investments, product, responsible investments, capital markets, legal, IT and operations, amongst other functions, helping to answer all sales focused requests for the entire passive business as well as helping to produce product and market focused materials.  The HSBC ETF and Indexing client segment focus is third party clients globally as well as HSBC bank’s own client base.

In this role, you will:

• Assist sales with client engagement tools such as product comparisons, performance attribution, landscape analysis, asset allocation/solutions based product advisory
• Assist with the production of marketing collateral including pitch decks, fund overviews, brochures and sales aids
• Assist in the completion of product/client RFPs and DDQs
• Assist with reporting tasks and fund commentary for all passive products including mandates
• Assist with thought leadership and white papers providing crucial grounds work through quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Assist with production and updating of standard marketing collateral and educational material.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Experience in the financial services industry
• Experience and/or a strong understanding of the ETF and Indexing business and the investments business more generally
• Knowledge of the macro-economic outlook and ESG investments space
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills
• Solution oriented attitude, hardworking, motivated and can-do attitude
• Additional European language an advantage
