Would you relish the chance to use your unique skills set and experience to shape and deliver the future land management of some of our most pioneering and precious estates?
We have an opportunity for an experienced Rural Practice Chartered Surveyor on a range of portfolios which will include Ashridge, Wimpole and Dunstable Downs, but may also cover some other portfolios across the East of England.
In this role you’ll be working principally on our Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire properties and the Wimpole Estate, but we sometimes flex people across a wider area of the East of England to best utilise skills and experience. You’ll build on established strong foundations, and take on unique, interesting estate management work and associated projects.
As part of our team, you’ll enjoy an extraordinary diversity of work, amazingly knowledgeable committed colleagues, fascinating places, a great support network including lawyers, accountants and other specialists all on hand and a sensible work life balance. All while shaping the future of the UK’s biggest private landowner, and the places and spaces it owns and protects.
No two days are the same for a National Trust Estate Manager, and the variety this brings is what makes it so challenging and exciting. You could be helping a tenant farmer discover new value from a more sustainable approach to their business. You might also be part of a team of specialists mapping out ways we’ll make our landscapes more resilient to change. Or you could be working with consultants on a major maintenance or renovation project for an historic estate building.
You’ll work in collaboration with a large and varied group of internal and external stakeholders, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys and is able to use their technical and personal skills in order to build strong and lasting relationships.
