Job Description

THE ROLE 

The ESG Reporting Analyst is a member of the Corporate Responsibility team, reporting into the Head of Corporate Responsibility. You’ll be providing expert environmental and sustainability data and reporting knowledge, supporting internal and external reporting on ESG progress to a variety of important stakeholders. 

  

Primary business partners are in Responsible Sourcing, Supply Chain, Procurement, PX, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications. The post holder will also collaborate with others delivering Fashion with Integrity for ASOS, including the wider Corporate Responsibility team. 

 

 

You will be…   

  •  Managing the collation of ASOS ESG data from relevant departments such as Responsible Sourcing, Supply Chain, Procurement, PX, CR and Governance for regular reporting to internal and external stakeholders 

  • Responsibility for ASOS’s mandatory GHG reporting for Scope 1 and 2 emissions and leading the development of the ASOS scope 3 footprint on an annual basis 

  • Reporting against ASOS Net Zero carbon strategy progress including performance against science-based targets and carbon offset projects 

  • Managing the end to end process for operational sustainability reporting for emissions including transportation, buildings and business travel 

  • Leading ASOS’s response to external ESG benchmarks such as CDP and Ecovadis, working with relevant departments to develop the submission and coordinate the end to end process 

  • Supporting ASOS’s first TCFD submission, working with internal and external partners to conduct necessary analysis and coordinating the project 

  • Coordinating ESG and FWI reporting in ASOS annual and sustainability reports, aligning reporting to recognised standards e.g. GRI and SASB 

  • Collating and reporting on the social impact of ASOS and ASOS Foundation charitable partnerships  

  • Updating the ASOS plc website with fresh content, recent statistics and case studies to clearly communicate progress with Fashion With Integrity 

  • Working closely with the Corporate Communications team to write and review ESG reporting and communications, contributing to internal and external updates and stories 

  • Understanding ESG reporting requirement, both in terms of legislation and investor expectations, ensuring ASOS meets these requirements successfully 

  • Supporting and workings on wider Corporate Responsibility and ESG projects on behalf of ASOS

  • Substantial experience of working in a similar ESG reporting role in a fast-paced environment, or in a consultancy role managing ESG reporting for corporate clients 

  • Able to speak knowledgeably, accurately and with confidence on ESG reporting matters 

  • Good communicator – must be able to speak convincingly to a range of audiences (expert/non-expert), to be able to engage people’s hearts and minds and communicate progress with ESG programmes 

  • Ability to understand and manage data expertly with great experience and ability with MS excel 

  • A good influencer with skills in advising and coaching others
