Job Description

The practice has been established in Salisbury for over 100 years. We have a fully equipped specialised equine vet team on the road, supported by our referral equine hospital and in-house laboratory, located on the outskirts of the town. This purpose built, state of the art facility has achieved the highest possible RCVS Tier 3 accreditation.

HOSPITAL INTERNSHIP – ENDELL EQUINE

Are you a recently qualified Veterinary Surgeon looking to specialise in the equine division?

Would you like to learn/provide a high quality of veterinary care?

We are currently inviting applications for an intern position lasting 12 months from December 2021 with the potential opportunity of an additional 6 months as an Ambulatory Vet.

This is an Internship program based at our tier 3 Equine Hospital in Salisbury, Wiltshire and suitable for new and recently qualified graduates looking to pursue a career within the equine field. You will be joining a team of 8 Vets which includes a Diplomate Surgeon.

Interns work in all the hospital areas including the laboratory and will be expected to become competent in radiography, ultrasonography, diagnostic medical investigations, lameness, investigations including nerve blocks, colic, endoscopy, gastroscopy and clinical care. During stud season you will also assist with AI mare scanning and ovulation checks.

Our internship provides a suitable foundation for most equine post-graduate specialist qualifications and also provide excellent training for general or specialist equine practice.
