Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

  • Co-ordination / Support of the EIA process and the delivery of Environmental Statements;
  • Responsible for instructing and managing internal and external consultants and specialists to provide supporting surveys and documentation and ensuring information is delivered in-line with budget and program;
  • Preparation and delivery of a range of planning documents including planning statements, pre-application submissions, statement of community involvement, design and access statements and other legal / professional documents;
  • Submission and monitoring of minor/major planning applications to LPA’s, communication and negotiations with stakeholders, statutory bodies;
  • Submission and monitoring of other applications such as Discharge of Conditions, Certificate of Lawfulness, Listed Building, PRoW and Common Land application to relevant bodies, communication and negotiations with stakeholders;
  • Carrying out policy checks and feasibility reports for potential development sites;
  • Play an active role in regular Design, Environmental and Planning meetings to provide expert advice on both current and potential development sites;

What we’re looking for:

  • Planning or related degree
  • MRTPI qualified, or working towards submission
  • Relevant experience in the private and/or public sector, pre and post qualification. Ideally three to five years plus experience in either public or private sector planning and who is looking to broaden their experience;
  • Enthusiasm for collaborative working and willingness to take on new challenges with a positive attitude.
