Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Flammability Centre of Excellence organization is looking for an Entry Level Flammability MP&P (Materials Processes & Physics) Engineer to join the team in Everett, Washington. 

Position Responsibilities:

• Assists with definition of requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture and/or maintenance of Boeing products.
• Drafts engineering specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes.
• Assists in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to business needs.
• Assists with development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements.
• Performs routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements.
• Conducts routine analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts or processes.
• Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Develops computer and production systems to satisfy user requirements.
• Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements.
• Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas.

This position is currently hybrid and will move to 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at one of the listed location options. 

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  
 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor\\\'s degree or higher in an Engineering field

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Knowledge of adhesive materials (such as epoxy, urethane, polyimide, reinforcements, etc) and processes.
• Knowledge of flammability requirements and test methods for determining compliance to regulations.
• Apply knowledge of composite and elastomer materials engineering and scientific principles to develop, design, analyze, test, and validate solutions for complex systems and sub-systems.
• Knowledge of and interaction with relevant domestic and international government agencies and industrial organizations. Interpreting and influencing the requirements such as flammability, export control, FAR\\\'s as well as current issues impacting functional responsibilities of composite, Interior, and elastomers activities.
   

Typical Education/Experience: 
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
