What is the Role?

You will be the responsible for analyzing and reporting on the impact/risk of any transaction announcements made by Bloomberg (BBG) Clients. You will review both current and potential BBG Customers and leading engagements with BBG largest Clients, to understand usage of BBG Services and where required mitigating business risk.

We’ll Trust You To:

• Partnering with divisional management and business unit leadership teams to implement controls for our data.
• You will handle audits mandated by vendor agreements.
• You will manage our market data commercial/operational risk throughout the application life cycle, including but not limited to review, analysis, documentation, remediation, cost estimate, and re-certification.
• Work with the application and development community to conduct deep-dive reviews to understand the use case for market data consumption from delivery through to final output.
• You will be coordinating with the market data vendor reporting team to ensure appropriate reporting persists for internal applications.
• Providing guidance to our customers and developers on the standard and best practices for commercial compliance.
• Reviewing the existing control process, identify gaps and areas for improvement

Candidate Profile:

• Will have a deep understanding and experience of working in the Global Financial Markets, and the workflow of our Clients. You will to be able to clearly present your findings and the risks that need mitigating in a clear and concise manner, to both our Client’s and Senior Management.
• Will be able to manage both the big picture as well as the detail in all that you do and be able to easily switch back and forth. You will be required to work with all areas of Bloomberg and our Client’s, from market data managers to CEO’s, Account managers to the Management Committee and be able to handle difficult conversations with clients.
• Will need a deep understanding of BBG’s Services and Client agreements as well as those of Exchanges and Third Parties and be able to present information in a logical and consistent manner.
• Will be extremely organized and able to run multiple engagements at any one time.
• Will understand data, our client’s workflow and the demands our clients are trying to meet.
• Will be asked to provide expertise in many aspects of the workflow of the financial markets and also in the Competitive landscape so a good understanding of the key players and competition is essential.

Requirements:

• 15+ years Business/Risk Analyst/Product management or Sales experience in Financial Market Data Product Area.
• You will have experience in market data application, compliance review and risk mitigation.
• Strong technical knowledge with respect to entitlement mechanism, application architectures, data flows and design.
• You will demonstrate strong project management skills and a strong analytical mind set.
• You will be an outstanding team player, demonstrate drive and initiative and show a can-do problem-solving approach but are also are able to work independently when needed.
• Very strong communications and influencing skills.
• You have the ability to interact confidently with application developers and development managers as well as market data.
• Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States and will not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
