Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.
Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.
We work in small, agile DevOps teams with colleagues around the world from our offices at the Bluefin Building in Southwark, our global headquarters in Canary Wharf, and multiple other locations around the UK including Sheffield, Leeds, Barnsley and Birmingham.

Purpose of the Job:
We are looking for an Enterprise Security Architect that can work with various global functions to understand challenges and can set strategic direction in large scale regulatory environments
Major challenges
The candidate must have technical background and solid understanding of enterprise architecture-based security issues. The candidate must have experience developing solution designs, patterns, requirements, threat modelling, and determining risk.
Qualifications
What you will bring to the role;
To be successful in this role you should have proven experience within the Technology sector with knowledge of the following skills:
Experience implementing and supporting data security controls in a global enterprise
Experience designing and architecting the use of data security controls in a global enterprise.
Experience designing robust certificate and encryption solutions in a global enterprise
Must be able to effectively communicate the conceptual and logical design of holistic enterprise security solutions.
Experience creating and presenting architecture strategies, roadmaps, and design patterns for technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience with reviewing security standards, controls, and policies and recommending enhancements.
Experience leading and delivering Cybersecurity projects.
Ability to perform complex risk assessments and threat modelling to support new technologies or design pattern.
Added skills and experience
Familiar with standard IT engineering and architecture frameworks and practices.
Ability to work with others in teams and sharing analysis and collaborating on problems to resolution.
Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure with tight timelines on a globally distributed team.
Possess a deep technical understanding and can demonstrate the ability to apply security related knowledge for practical and timely outcomes.
This role will primarily be London or Sheffield based but some travel may be required.
