The current architecture is undergoing a major transformation in migrating to the Microsoft Azure Platform. Working with local architecture team and suppliers this role will have oversight over all programme Enterprise Architecture activity defining, owning, and managing the migration of the current service from existing data centres and into the Azure platform. On completion of the migration, the Enterprise Architect will take accountability for overall enterprise architecture and how it supports ongoing tactical and strategic change. Strong people management skills are essential as the Enterprise Architect will be required to lead a team of ~14 FTEs.
| Purpose of Job: | What you’ll be doing!
This person will provide expertise to assure solution migration to the cloud. This will be realised via a mixture of platform technical knowledge and operational experience. The role will combine both hands-on trouble shooting and a consultancy role providing best-practice advice. Specific knowledge of Azure, its many components and how best to use them in a cloud-centric style are key aspects for this position which will help drive the vision of cloud deployment.
