Your Role & Key Responsibilities
As the IT Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for supporting the strategy on the technical landscape required to support the Business in conjunction with the IT Leadership. You will provide focus to shape and guide the development of Elida Beauty Limited Architecture. Help drive development of future technology strategies across the business. Enable the visibility of an effective, consistent technology architecture through best practice use of principles, reference architectures and standards with efficient governance.
This will initially include selecting the technology stack that will be provided for the business and working with the CIO and his/her IT peers to engage the necessary vendors. The role will be responsible for on-going governance around the technology to ensure the Company keeps to the agreed technology providers and manage new requests/demand that will result from the Business. In addition, the role is responsible for identifying future technology options that may advance the Business and in conjunction with IT Leadership and the Business developing a Roadmap over a period of 3 years.
Your Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Proactively and holistically guide the enterprise through collating and communicating transformation and optimisation initiatives, enabled through strategies and a 3-year roadmap developed in conjunction with the business. The scope of the activities includes helping the organisation grow revenue, optimise costs and mitigate risks.
- Agree the technology landscape in conjunction with the IT Leadership for the business minimising the number of providers and retaining the intention of a lean IT Landscape. This will need to be done by ensuring the solutions meet the core Business processes.
- Respond to disruptive forces by helping business leaders and the IT Leadership facilitate the decision-making process and providing actionable recommendations on initiatives and policies to help the organisation drive targeted business outcomes.
- Helping business leaders and the IT Leadership enable their future-state business capabilities that, in turn, drive the organisations targeted business outcomes through the choice of initiatives the organisation chooses to invest in.
- Supporting the setup and management of a Governance framework to ensure the Technology scope of the Business is maintained, assessing future technology that could benefit the Business, responding to new Business demand that has been collected by the IT Teams and how this would fit into the technology landscape.
- Coordinate across all aspects of the IT function, including: Business Architecture: Focused on guiding people, process and organisational change. Information Architecture: Focused on the consistent sharing of information across the enterprise. Solutions Architecture: Focused on developing a direction for managing the portfolio of to-be solutions. Technical Architecture: Focused on evolving the technical infrastructure and Security Architecture: Focused on managing IT risk through the exchange of information between people, systems, and things inside and outside the organisation.
- Empowering, supporting, coaching and mentoring IT team members where necessary.
- Actively own and maintain an overall Enterprise Reference Architecture landscape of business capabilities, business process and both current and future applications, ideally using Enterprise Architecture tools.
- Agree the technology landscape in conjunction with the IT Leadership for the business minimising the number of providers and retaining the intention of a lean IT Landscape. This will need to be done by ensuring the solutions meet the core Business processes.
- Working with the IT Leadership to support the implementation of the technology via the relevant Vendor/s including selection, scope of service provision and on-going reviews.
- Identifies and evaluates alternative architectures and the trade-offs in cost, performance, and scalability. Supports monitoring of the external environment and assessment of emerging technologies to evaluate the potential impacts, threats, and opportunities to the organization.
- Understand organization's business processes, systems, tools, regulations, and structure and how they interrelate to provide products and services that create value for customers.
- Support the design process for application software as well as continuous improvement initiatives.
- Produce documents relating to application architecture, design steps, integration processes and testing procedures relating to each product developed.

- Key representative of Elida Beauty Limited within organization as well as externally across various key stakeholders and organizational bodies.
Key interfaces:
- Role reports directly to the IT Strategy Governance and Architecture Lead (Office of the CIO)
- Role will primarily be Vendor facing but will have engagement at relevant Functional levels in managing the IT Architecture strategy.
Requirements
- Knowledge of business ecosystems, Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), SOA, API’s, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and analytics
- Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks
- Excellent analytical and technical skills
- Excellent written, verbal, communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of all components of holistic enterprise architecture e.g. business architecture, Data, Applications, Integration, Infrastructure, security, etc
- Degree in business administration or a technology-related field, or equivalent work- or education-related experience.
- Experience in a role of leading an architecture team with proven track record of delivery
- Clear experience of managing large scale IT Transformation.
- Articulate and good communicator with the ability to communicate technical issues in an easy to understand way.
- Practical experience translating business strategy into technology roadmaps.
- Strong understanding of the external technology market.
- Results oriented with the ability to maintain focus on objectives in a multi-task demanding environment..
