Responsibilities

The Technical Program Manager I works very closely with the Product Management leadership team to understand our overall product strategy and define how this strategy should be executed, helping to  develop technical roadmaps for our engineering and security spaces. This role requires a technical background to  easily move from Product strategy and vision to high-level spec and functional conversations, working with a variety of  partners to understand customer problems and the strategies in flight to solve them.

Independently lead projects and deliver expert level solutions based on thorough analysis of business  requirements; Translate code specifications, development lifecycle requirements, product and feature  enhancements into a development effort and schedule.

Collaborate with the product and development teams to manage technical product roadmaps, aligning  product development efforts with strategic business and customer needs and security standards; Assess the right balance of risk to utilize resources, remove bottlenecks, provide escalation management, balance the  business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk taking behavior to maximize business  benefit.

Work with/for the technical development teams to guide day-to-day outputs through technical backlog  creation using highly developed user stories and acceptance criteria and fostering agile principles within  teams.

Guide release schedules, technology retirements, tooling updates etc. that require intervention with teams  on the various Agile Release Trains.

Work across business development, product, IT leadership and agile teams to gather input for future  objectives that drive technical value for development teams.

Communicate effectively and collaboratively across business units, creating partnerships that contribute to  delivering successfully on development initiatives.

Guide external vendors on contract management activities, including cost approvals, legal contracts,  security addendums, etc.; Work closely with internal contracts and legal teams to ensure compliance with  corporate guidelines.

Assess the right balance of risk to utilize resources, remove bottlenecks, provide escalation management,  balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk taking behavior to maximize  business benefit.

Qualifications

Required:

Must be located in AZ, CA, FL, IL, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, TN, TX, VA, WA or WI 

Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

Must be at least 18 years of age

HS Diploma or GED Required 

3+ years experience in at least one of the following: technical product owner, project management or technical  program manager role running large/cross functional technical projects

 

Preferred:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline 

Experience in the collision,  insurance, Bodyshop,  EOM and/or car rental  industry

Experience in a customer driven business mindset  and exposure to UK/UI

Experience in Agile (Scrum or KANBAN) working  environment

Certified PO or commitment to obtain  within 90 days of hire
