Job duties

• This position takes responsibility for overall delivery of source council related activities within drivetrain

• Should be able to evaluate inputs provided by purchasing team. Work with them to gather relevant information which are necessary for stakeholders to take right sourcing decision.

• Track Source council metrics and take actions to drive improvements.

• The incumbent is responsible for identifying improvement opportunities with respect to source council process & work with stakeholder to execute these strategies which can improve the efficiency of the overall process sand reduce bottleneck

• Should have knowledge of other functions that provide inputs regularly, i.e., Product Development, Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Operations.

• Must be very customer focused and can drive change throughout the enterprise effectively & able to manage risk and ambiguity on a project.

• Must be able to effectively manage their projects, identifying resources and managing to deadlines.

• Conduct  source council process training &  mentor/ clarify questions related to source council

• Should have good functional knowledge on Transmission / Lower Powertrain system & subsystems.

• Must be able to communicate technically with process partners on a regular basis

Background/Experience:

Requires knowledge of company products with an understanding of Drivetrain Component, accounting and pricing functions, Purchasing. Exposure to design of casting, Machining, Project Management, NPI, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, Quality experience will all be beneficial.  Should have exposure of working with Global team.

The position typically requires a college or university degree or equivalent experience. In addition, eight to eleven years of progressively responsible job-related experience are typically required. Must have excellent problem-solving skills and good leadership and team management capabilities. Requires strong written and verbal communications skills.Job duties
