Position Title: Engineering Project Team Leader
Job Location: Bangalore, KA-India
Job purpose:
To direct and participate in the design and development of complex, major engineering product or process projects for release to production in a manner to ensure products provide superior performance, durability, quality, and serviceability.
Job duties:
The key role of an Engineering Specialist is that of principal contributor on a design or CPPD team responsible for development of a product, process or both. This position will develop solutions for complex technical engineering problems and will be accountable for the design or improvement of complex systems or processes. In addition to demonstrating technical expertise, a person in this position will be called on to act as a team and/or project leader.

Strong Communication, demonstrating excellent analytical skills and a mastery of engineering concepts. Major challenges facing incumbents are meeting design goals for cost, reliability, performance, timelines and managing multiple priorities. This position must keep up to date on changing customer needs as the project progresses, understand complex technical problems and demonstrate the ability to develop creative solutions.
Incumbents must manage their own development, continuously learning through experience and staying abreast of technology. This position must develop increased technical breadth and/or depth as well as gaining increased business management skills.
Key skills and Knowledge requirement:
•Thorough understanding of the new product introduction (NPI) process
•Knowledge of the design and working of diesel and gas gensets
•Experience in leading Gas gensets/engine programs.
•Experience in gas genset/engine components design and testing
•Thorough understanding of gas genset product requirements, market trends and regulatory requirements.
•Must be a self-starter with strong analytical skills and technical leadership
•Strong focus on product cost
•Must be a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
Required Qualifications:
•Mechanical or Automotive Engineering degree with 10 to 12 years in design and development in any of the following or related fields- Diesel/Gas gensets, Engines or Machines.
Desired Qualifications:
•Master’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering plus 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
