Job Description

We’re looking for an Engineering Project Coordinator to support the Asset Investment Manager (AIM) Engineering group within Bloomberg Engineering. What’s The Role?

We’re seeking a highly capable individual to join the AIM Engineering team to coordinate the operational needs of the department, identify new opportunities to streamline processes, and act as general administrative resource for the department. 

We’ll trust you to:

  •  Plan, organize and participate in AIM-wide events such as Town Halls, PI Readouts, Tech talks, Hackathons etc. including logistics, scheduling, presentation deck creation.
  •  Coordinate quarterly department wide newsletter including generating themes, identifying contributors, sending and collecting Q&As.
  •  Run all internal programs and coordinate training needs for AIM Engineering
  •  Manage headcount/resources for AIM Engineering, as well as AIM’s JIRA instance, requesting new components, setting up sprint calendars, and reporting
  •  Assist with client migrations
  •  Think proactively and strategically to get things done
  •  Ability to work independently on initiatives with little oversight

You’ll need to have:

  •  2-5 years minimum work experience in an administrator, coordinator or similar role
  •  Experience handling multiple important tasks simultaneously
  •  Strong prioritization skills and a keen eye for detail
  •  Ability to take a proactive approach in the role and be resourceful
  •  Passion and enthusiasm for your role
  •  Technical proficiency in Google Office Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and collaborating with others using these tools
  •  Experience with event planning 
  •  Excellent writing, oral communication, and presentation skills
  •  Tenacious and creative problem solving skills 

We'd love to see:

  •  Enthusiastic approach to improving process efficiency and/or enhancing the customer experience
  •  Advanced Microsoft Office/Google Office Suite experience including creating formulas and pivot tables in Excel/Sheets, and the ability to maintain and format Word/Docs/Slides with use of “track changes”, etc.
