Project Description:

NEOM Project Summary: Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company will provide executive project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial, and construction management) for the development of certain defined aspects of the NEOM Infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”    

NEOM is a planned Border_town" style="color:blue; text-decoration:underline" target="_blank">cross-border city in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia. The site is near the Red Sea and the borders of Egypt, Israel, and Jordan. It will cover a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq. mi) and will extend 460 km along the coast of the Red Sea.”  

NEOM will be the home and workplace to more than a million residents from around the world. It will include towns and cities, ports and enterprise zones, research centers, sports and entertainment venues, and tourist destinations. As a hub for innovation, entrepreneurs, business leaders, and companies will come to research, incubate, and commercialize new technologies and enterprises in groundbreaking ways.

 

Detailed Job Description

Summary:

Engineer who will be looking after Utilities will participate, selects applicable procedures and criteria, and applies standard engineering techniques. Performs assignments that have clear and specified objectives including participation in comment resolutions, material requisitions, day to day activities and will be a working hand in supporting the Design manager/Lead engineer/Senior project engineer.

 

Job Duties:

• Participates and coordinates Utilities works across the project in liaison with the other senior members of the team.

• Coordinate’s work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines.

• Participates in studies that require knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in Mechanical engineering works.

• Assists in preparation of forecasts, quantity take-offs and change orders.

• Participates in and fosters a work environment that is based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.

• Take personal responsibility to ensure your own and others’ health and safety – including those who may be affected by the delivery of this role.

• Co‐operate in all matters relating to health, safety and environment, including following safe working procedures at all times and not deviating from agreed safe system of work

 

Essential Skills:

• A recognized degree in Mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university

• Technical knowledge of Mech engineering concepts like HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning), Fire protection and Plumbing systems, duct and pipe sizing.

• Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes & standards (NFPA, ASHRAE, OSHA, AWWA, etc.), and specifications.

• Has a working knowledge of CAD software like AutoCAD, Autodesk MEP and Revit MEP and is proficient in model viewing software (i.e. Autodesk Navisworks) to navigate the 3D model for review and coordination.  

• Strong English language communication and report writing skills.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Design Suite software programs and have the ability to prepare the documents.

• Must be able to work within a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team and manage ambitious multi-cultural relationships across a range of entities.

• Must be self-driven and able to plan and execute work.

• Must be flexible and adapt to working in a demanding environment, including the need to travel and work remotely if / when required.

 

Living Conditions:

Living and Working on the NEOM Project is a single status assignment condition located in Sharma, KSA with camp accommodation (Meals and Laundry Services provided).
