The Opportunity
The Creative Director helps lead the strategic shaping and aesthetic direction of campaign initiatives that drive deep user engagement with Creative Cloud apps.
This position requires exceptional conceptual, design, storytelling, and critical thinking, especially on coordinated campaigns; the ability to articulate the rationale behind the work, and the ability to discuss that rationale with Sr. creative directors, campaign, and product marketing teams; the ability to seek more responsibility with less supervision on complex projects; and an exceptional understanding of usability issues with regards to customer learning and engagement.
Does building innovative how-to experiences that connects marketing to in-product learning appeal to you? As a member of the Engagement Design Team you’ll craft, as well as coordinate, the creation of ultra-concise how-to’s using the very tools we make, to inspire others and demystify creative techniques.
Qualifications
8+ years of related experience.
Excellent conceptual and problem-solving skills.
Excellent design, layout, and typography skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary design trends in social media, brand marketing, and creative culture.
Outstanding ability to deliver innovative and on-strategy ideas which are highly resolved and meet the objectives of the creative brief.
Ability to collaborate with writers, designers, and creative technologists to develop concepts.
Ability to communicate effectively with creative and project management staff, engendering trust and respect.
Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
Excellent skills with design software, including, but not limited to, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Xd, Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Adobe After Effects.
Description
Accountable for successful execution and creative direction on assigned projects.
Regularly reviews creative work with the group’s senior creative staff to get feedback on direction, and to ensure the work is aligned with other initiatives in the organization.
Relied upon to conceive of, design, and lead the development of high-quality creative work that pushes the Adobe brand forward.
Interacts with cross-functional teams.
Able to present the team’s work knowledgeably and authoritatively to a broad audience.
Education
BA or BFA in Graphic Design or related design field, with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
Additional Requirements
Portfolio of original and breakthrough work, with a focus on user-centered design.
Expertise in developing creative solutions across a broad range of media, including marketing, graphic design, social media, and instructional design. Motion design experience a plus.
Proven knowledge of the creative process including time and resources needed to produce quality work on time, and to specification.
